After her brother dies in a car accident in Austria, Michaela travels 20,000 miles by road and by foot through the Canadian Wilderness to heal her broken heart and search for some meaning amidst her despair. In journal-style, Michaela takes the reader on her 20,000 mile healing quest through Canada. Kicked off with a photo presentation in Austria where 200 people attended, this German book was self-published in 2011. fulgura frango. thunderstorm literature of the 1700’s
Michaela’s thesis for her Master’s Degree in Literature and Communications from the University of Vienna was published in Vienna in 2004 followed by an excerpt published in a magazine. In her thesis, she discusses thunderstorm poems in the 1700’s and how the philosophical change of perception about thunder and lightning through the era of enlightenment reflected in literature.
